Sorry for the Silence. Have an Update.

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to let you all know that the card sleeve project is still alive and well. I know I have been silent for the past few months, but that was only because it had gotten to the point where updates were causing more harm than good. I decided that it would ultimately be better for me to work on the sleeves in silence and apologize for the lack of updates later.

I am pleased to announce that I seem to be on the right track when it comes to making my sleeves durable. I have had the ability to print sleeves for some time now, but the images on the sleeves would eventually peel off if you did not use an additional clear sleeve on top (a.k.a. double sleeving). I did not want to send out subpar product, and so I have been working on this issue ever since. These delays have sadly upset a few people, but in the end the sleeves will be better for it. “The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.” – Mr. Spock

As of a little over two months ago I have a finishing method for the sleeves that leaves them very hard to damage. My prototype sleeves have been shuffled for the equivalent of several large tournaments, left unprotected in pockets for days on end, and have even spent time getting knocked around in the bottom of gaming bags under several large RPG source books. After all of this abuse we have not seen so much as a scuff. Two sleeves did ultimately fail when one of my testers forgot to take them out of his back pocket before throwing his pants in his washer/dryer for two full cycles.

In the very near future I am going to be making a set of sleeves for my personal use which I will subsequently take to my friendly local gaming store and use in a draft event. I will be getting them checked out by judges and testing them in the field of battle. Once the sleeves have been field tested I will feel comfortable printing them for others. My next update will come at that time. I will be sure to include a video with that update as well.

Until next time!

P.S.- I have also nearly perfected a sleeve variant that people have been begging for since this project’s inception. More on that in the next update.

Shuffle Update

Hello everyone!

I have finally perfected the production process! I have had nice quality sleeves for some time now, but no matter what I did I could not keep them from peeling (that is something that plagues all sleeve manufacturers).  Just take a look at how well these babies shuffle:

Even more sleeve updates and social networking

Hello again everyone,

I just wanted to let everyone know that I am only a few hours away from a full scale heat sealer test. If this works out I will have a production quality sleeve to show everyone. Videos will be posted if the test is successful.

In other news I have a Facebook page and Twitter page set up for the custom card sleeves. I have not used them since I set them up, but since more and more people are finding out about this venture, I think now is the time to share the links. Here they are:

https://www.twitter.com/yourcardsleeves

I will most likely be making a Google+ page as well, just so I can have all of my bases covered.

Also, I apologize to everyone that commented on my last post. I had so many spam posts that I just started ignoring alerts.
